From glass, to glaze
Each year, about 63,000 tonnes of glass waste in Singapore (as heavy as 9,000 elephants) end up in landfill, taking thousands of years to fully break down. However, glass can be infinitely recycled without losing its integrity and we saw its potential as a raw material for ceramic glaze. After a year of deep research and relentless testing, we finally had it–a locally-sourced sustainable glaze that artisans would approve of.
